Route and Key Locations

There will be 4 pelotons (3 speed choices) travelling at different speeds, to ensure that everyone can ride at their own pace.

In 2023, the 27-29 km/h speed will be split into 2 groups during the summer - we will communicate with you to inform you of your group#. You will have to respect the assigned speed for your group, that will be determined by weather (decision made by the chefs encadreurs of each peloton).

PELOTON 1 : 29-31 km/h

PELOTON 2 : 27-29 km/h

PELOTON 3 : 27-29 km/h

PELOTON 4: 25-27 km/h

These pelotons will serve as reference only, since the route is revised before the event to account for changes in road conditions and other factors.

The registration fees include one night at Les Suites de Laviolette in Trois-Rivières, a 4-star hotel with a restaurant (breakfast) and a heated outdoor pool. Note that in order to limit the event’s expenses, each room is shared by a few cyclists. We do our best to put couples, friends and teammates together, but we can’t guarantee it will be possible in all cases.

If your friends or family who are not taking part in the event would like to sleep at the hotel, they will have to pay for their own accommodations and meals. For logistical purposes, kindly let the Foundation know if this will be the case.

You can store your bike in your hotel room, but please make sure to properly wipe/clean it before entering.

Meals and Refueling

All meals - two lunches, one breakfast and one dinner, water, Gatorade-style sports drinks, and snacks (fresh fruits, chewy bars, nuts, and energy gels) are provided to you throughout the weekend. When you register, please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary preferences. Alcohol at dinner is not included.

Safety and Security

The event is sanctioned by the Quebec Cycling Federation ((Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes - FQSC).The pelotons are escorted by Laval police as well as by the Sûreté du Québec, and cyclists ride right on the street. A mechanic truck, generously provided by Bicycles Quilicot will handle minor repairs along the route and a bus will be available for cyclists who are tired or injured. Some following vehicles will supervise the pelotons, providing supplies for refueling and support in case of injuries or technical hiccups. Finally, first aid will be provided by Santinel throughout the weekend.

Getting Your Kit

On the Wednesday before the event, an important gathering will take place for all cyclists at Hôpital de la Cité-de-la-Santé’s Auditorium Réal-Dubord. At that time, you will receive your event jersey, a personalized tag with your name that identifies your bike, and final logistical information. If you are unable to attend, please advise so that you can make arrangements to pick up your kit at another time.
