Montreal Walk for Alzheimer's
The 22st edition of the Montreal Walk for Alzheimer's!
The Walk will take place on SUNDAY MAY 31, 2026 at the ANGRIGNON PARK, in Montreal.
Join-us in raising funds for the 500,000 Canadians living with a neurocognitive disorder and their caregivers! On May 31, you can take part in the Walk by walking in your own neighbourhood, or join-us for a family-friendly gathering at the park!
Location: Angrignon Park in Montreal a few minutes away from the Angrignon metro station
Schedule of the day:
8:30 a.m : Registration - Collect your t-Shirt, included for registered participants!
9:00 a.m : Opening remarks – Coffee and pastries, skill‑building games, partner kiosks, and music
10:00 a.m: Warm-up with Nautilus Plus and music - get ready to move!
11:00 a.m: Start of the Walk with two route options: A 3 km loop, combining natural trails and paved surfaces, and A 2 km out‑and‑back route, entirely on paved surface
12:00 p.m: Return from the Walk - various games and activities, partner kiosks and a friendly picnic - bring your lunch!

The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is a national public awareness event that occurs in more than 250 communities across Canada. It is the largest fundraising event for Alzheimer's and related diseases in the country.

How to take part in the Walk?
- Register to the walk, either as a solo participant or create a team.
- Personalize your fundraising page : add a picture and tell your story! Explain why you decided to participate in the Walk for Alzheimer's and how this cause is important to you.
- Set a fundraising goal : suggested amount of $200 or more.
- Recruit donors and participants! Contact family members, friends and acquaintances to ask them for their support and invite them to the Walk! Don't hesitate to ask for donation several times to remind them how important this cause is to you and that you need their support to reach your fundraising goal. And dont forget to thank your generous donors.
- Walk or do a physical activity of your choice on May 31st 2026 To represent the colours of the Alzheimer Society, we invite you to wear the Walk for Alzheimer's t-shirt, or a blue garment or accessory during your Walk. You can also use our customizable sign to let people know for whom you are raising funds. You can't join us at the Walk? Organize a walk in your own neighbourhood with family and friends!
- Share with us photos or videos of your walk to marche@alzheimermontreal.ca, so that we can show your support to people living with dementia! You can post your pictures or videos of your Walk on your social media, with the hashtag #IGWalkForAlzMontreal

A donation can make a lasting impact! Here's what your donation can do:
- $60: Allows a care partner to participate in a weekly information and support group for 6 weeks.
- $200: Covers the cost of a complete kit of adapted stimulation items, documentation, and resources designed to support a person living with the disease and their care partner during in‑home respite and stimulation visits provided by a Society staff member.
- $350: Provides specialized leisure and activity materials for 12 people living with a neurocognitive disorder, for use in our respite and stimulation services offered at the Society’s two activity centres in Ahuntsic and Saint‑Henri.
- $500: Provides 20 hours of psychosocial support consultations—individually or as a family—offered by the Society’s professional staff.
- $1,000: Provides access to one full day of respite and stimulation services each week for an entire year, allowing the person living with the disease to benefit from stimulating activities while their care partner enjoys essential respite time.
