Les Grands Ballets Canadiens (“GBC”, “we”) is committed to protecting your privacy in connection with the reservation or purchase of tickets for shows, events, or dance classes, the provision of ancillary services (e.g., parking reservations, show packages, ticket delivery, management of your customer account, etc.), the purchase of merchandise, or making of donations to our Foundation or to another non-profit organization, whether these services are provided directly by GBC or by third-party service providers as described below (taken together, “Ancillary Services”). When you access our website, https://grandsballets.com/, or use our Studios GB mobile application (collectively, the “Website”) and consult or visit them, contact us, or consent to receive email messages from us using our Ancillary Services, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy. The Website and Ancillary Services are collectively referred to as the “Services”.

The objective of this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) is to provide you with information about the reason and the manner in which GBC collects, uses, and shares your personal information, the options you have in this respect, and how you can access and rectify your personal information if necessary.

Our Commitment
We have developed and implemented internal policies and procedures designed to provide adequate protection of the personal information in our possession, and we review these regularly;
We educate our employees about the importance of protecting personal information, and we provide them with training on this topic;

For this Policy, “Personal Information” refers to any information about an individual that could, directly or indirectly, allow them to be identified, such as a street or email address, telephone number, or any financial information.

How we obtain your consent will depend on the circumstances, as well as the sensitivity of the information collected. Subject to applicable laws, your consent may be express or implied, depending on the circumstances and the sensitivity of the personal information in question. When you contact us by phone, e-mail, or using an online form, we may collect: your full name, e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, the nature of your request, and any other information that you provide us with;

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we may collect: your e-mail address and full name;

When you complete a survey, we may collect: your full name, e-mail address, appreciation of the show or webcast, interests, sources of information, occupation, date of birth, mode of transportation;

When you create a customer account, we may collect: your e-mail address, full name, country of residence, and postal code;

When you connect to our Website, we may collect: your e-mail address;

When you make a donation in support of our Foundation, we may collect: your full name, e-mail address, the amount of the donation, payment method information (including your payment card number, expiry date, and CVV code);

When you book a dance or adapted dance class at Studios GB or the National Centre for Dance Therapy: we collect your last name, first name, e-mail address, date of birth, gender, mailing address, telephone number, payment information (including your payment card number, expiry date and CVV code);

When you request information about or reserve one of our halls to produce an event, we may collect: your full name, the name of your company, your website address, your position title, your office and mobile phone numbers, your physical and e-mail address; information about your event;

When you apply for a position via our Careers tab, we may collect: your full name, physical and e-mail address, phone number, level of education, gender, marital status, whether you belong to a particular group (for equal access purposes), the résumé and presentation letter that you send.

Use of cookies and other technologies to collect information (“Cookies”): A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes a unique anonymous identifier. When you visit our Website, we may collect technical information using electronic means such as cookies. This information may include data about your visits, including the IP address of the computer used, the date, time, and duration of your visits, which pages you view, the type of browser, operating system and screen resolution used, your location, browser language settings, the site from which you accessed our Website, keywords searched (if you arrived via a search engine), number of page views, information entered, and advertisements seen. We collect your personal information by various methods through our points of contact (call center, box office, Website, and social networks), especially when you book and purchase a ticket for a show or an event, donate to our Foundation or to another non-profit organization, purchase or use an Ancillary Service, contact customer service, complete a survey or react on our social media accounts or to messages that we send you by e-mail or SMS.

How we use your information
We use your personal information primarily:

To finalize reservation or purchase transactions when you buy a ticket for a show or an event presented by an Event Provider or by GBC, or other Ancillary Services offered by GBC;

To determine and verify your identity;

To respond to your requests for information, manage your customer account, and deliver the Services purchased;

For marketing, market analysis, and survey purposes;

To target your needs, interests, and preferences;

To inform you of shows, events, Ancillary Services, benefits, products, and goods that may be of interest to you;

To control the quality of our customer service and to prevent fraud;

For any other purpose as required or permitted by law.

Communication of your Personal Information
GBC administers a ticketing system. When you reserve or purchase tickets or other Ancillary Services by phone, at the box office or online, or when you make a donation, some of your personal information is collected in a unique customer account to facilitate the management of your ticket reservation or purchase, purchase of Ancillary Services, or donation. GBC has implemented measures to protect the confidentiality of your personal information and the various transactions made in your customer account.

For the purposes of their customer relationship management, GBC may also use a customer’s personal information contained in the ticketing system or collected in the course of communications with customer service, participation in a survey, interactions on social media accounts, or following receipt of e-mail or SMS messages from them or when visiting their websites (including the Website).

In any event, we do not share, sell or distribute your personal information with or to unrelated third parties except in these limited circumstances. Personal information may occasionally be transferred to third parties who act for us for further processing in accordance with the purposes for which the information was originally collected or for purposes to which you have consented. If you do not provide the required personal information, we will not be able to create your customer account in order to enable you carry out a transaction by phone or online, and you will have to come to our box office to complete your future purchase of tickets or Ancillary Services, or to make your donation in cash.
