The Foundation only collects and uses personal information with the consent of the person concerned

The Foundation is responsible for the personal information it collects, including personal information disclosed to third parties for administrative, processing, or retention purposes.

The collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by the Foundation is limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is collected.

The Foundation collects personal information for a variety of reasons, including:

Processing donations and issuing charitable receipts

Registering you for an event or fundraiser you wish to attend

Managing our human resources and service agreements

The collection of personal information by the Foundation is limited to what is necessary for the purposes indicated or clearly implied at the time of collection.

The Foundation may collect and use information about you from a third party where permitted by law, or with your consent in all other cases.

For example, the Foundation, may, for fundraising purposes or for participation in events or fundraising activities, request and collect the following information when creating a user account or processing a service:

First and last name

Civic address and email address

Date of birth

Credit card number

At no time will this information be used, disclosed to third parties, or otherwise disseminated without your consent, except in cases authorized or required by law.

Retention and Destruction of Personal Information

The Foundation retains personal information for as long as it reasonably needs it for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. The Foundation applies, and ensures that its suppliers apply, appropriate physical, technological, and administrative security measures to maintain the confidentiality of personal information and to protect it against theft, loss, disclosure, or unauthorized access.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Access to the information is limited to employees, administrators, volunteers, and ad hoc advisors of the Foundation, and to subcontractors specially assigned for this purpose, and only in the course of their work. Under no circumstances will we sell, share, or rent this information to third parties.

The Foundation does not disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the person concerned or as required or permitted by law.

All employees, directors, volunteers, and ad hoc advisors working on the committees of the Foundation’s board of directors undertake to respect the personal information collected by the Foundation. In addition, these persons undertake to preserve the confidentiality of the information specific to the activities of the Foundation and not to divulge it or use it for personal purposes or for the benefit of others. This undertaking is effective as soon as an employee, administrator, volunteer, or ad hoc advisor assumes their duties and continues indefinitely.

The Foundation may share personal information with trusted partners or suppliers who act as subcontractors to authorize online credit card transactions made via a payment provider at https://www.jedonneenligne.org/fondation-iucpq/ (donations, registrations, or purchase of products) or for any purpose indicated in this Policy or any other purpose indicated by the Foundation at the time the information is collected.

The Foundation undertakes to require confidentiality undertakings from these third parties that are at least as stringent as those provided for in this Policy, including controls and measures to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the information they hold on behalf of the Foundation, and to prevent the theft, loss, or disclosure of, or unauthorized access to personal information.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, no method of electronic transmission or storage of personal information is entirely secure, and the Foundation cannot guarantee that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal information will not be compromised.

Access

Subject to the relevant laws and upon receipt of a written request, and after verification of your identity, the Foundation will inform you if it holds personal information about you and will share this information with you.

The Foundation may deny you access to your information in accordance with the law,

Correction and Updating of Personal Information

The Foundation makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the personal information it

You may request a correction or update. This can be done by modifying your user account profile.

If the Foundation holds personal information about you and you believe this Policy has been breached, you may complain in writing. The Foundation will handle any complaints of this nature.

If you are not satisfied with the Foundation’s response to a complaint or the Foundation’s Policy and practices regarding the handling of personal information, you may file a complaint with Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec at www.cai.gouv.qc.ca

Use of Cookies and Google Analytics

Cookies are small files sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer. Cookies are used on the Foundation’s Website. They are anonymous and are in no way used to collect personal information, but solely for connection purposes and for providing and improving services. Cookies identify your browser across visits (sessions) and across pages within a session in order to facilitate your access to and navigation on the Website.

You can configure your browser to block cookies at any time. However, this may deprive you of certain Website features and functionalities.

The Foundation also uses Google Analytics, a web audience measurement tool that collects information about your activity on the Foundation’s Website, including:

Donation history (amount of donations and charities to which these donations are given);

Registration history (amount of registrations and organizations with which these registrations are made);

Information for official receipts or invoices;

LogiZone account username password information.

Financial Information

Certain financial information may be requested if you make a credit card payment. This information is processed through a secure PCI compliant payment gateway to process the credit card payment.

Changes to this Policy

Logilys reserves the right to periodically modify this Policy, for example to adapt it to legislative and regulatory changes. Therefore, we advise you to consult this policy regularly in order to validate its content. In case of modification, the modified version will be available on the website with an amended effective date.

Logilys is responsible for the personal information in its custody or control and has designated a person in charge of confidentiality and security. This person must ensure that Logilys is in compliance with PIPEDA;

Logilys has policies and procedures in place to implement and comply with this Policy, including procedures for the collection, processing, disclosure, retention and destruction of personal information;

Third parties who engage in a business relationship with Logilys and who post content on Logilys' platforms are responsible for complying with the privacy principles set forth in this Policy, PIPEDA and any other applicable privacy legislation. Logilys collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:

Provide official receipts or invoices when users make online donations or register online;

Allow users to register or create a LogiZone Account, and manage these accounts;

Administer single or scheduled donations or payments;

Generate statistics and summary reports for internal and external use, the latter without reference to personal information;

Communicate directly with users, including through the Logilys News and Updates Service, charitable promotions, or other forms of communication in compliance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Act (CASL);

Provide support and guidance to clients.

Consent for the use of your personal information

Logilys collects personal information about you only when you voluntarily provide it, or only with your consent, as required by PIPEDA or other applicable law;

By visiting and using a Logilys website, the visitor agrees to the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use linked to this Privacy and Security Policy. If you do not agree with the Privacy and Security Policy, do not use this website or provide any personal information to Logilys;

Information collected

Personal information provided to Logilys: Logilys collects certain personal information directly from individuals who interact with one of its websites or otherwise with us, including this information;

Accuracy of information

Logilys makes reasonable efforts to ensure that personal information is as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used. Individuals can verify the accuracy of their personal information and make changes or corrections if necessary. Logilys relies on individuals and organizations to help us maintain the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the information we collect. You must log in to your LogiZone Account in order to update, modify, correct or delete your personal information.

Security measures

Logilys uses commercially reasonable efforts to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, modification and destruction by establishing and maintaining security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information;

All Logilys staff members are aware of the need to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal information;

In terms of the processing of credit card information, Logilys adheres to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and, in order to securely store your payment card details, uses the systems of payment processors that comply with the PCI DSS;

Logilys uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to help ensure the security of online transactions. The SSL protocol allows for the encryption of sensitive information, including passwords and credit card numbers, during your online transactions;

Logilys has implemented strict security standards to protect its systems and your personal information from unauthorized access and use.
