The generous partners we could not do without / Le P’tit clown aux ballons

Just before taking his very last breath in a room at the Residence, Stéphanie Ouellette heard her Grandfather say, “I’m so happy that I’m here.” That was in 2014, and it was a moment that Stéphanie will never forget. Nor will she forget the final days of her beloved colleague, Étincelle the Clown, who also passed away at the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence.

Although her first contribution as a face-painting artists for kids during the 2013 Walk was motivated by her desire to help out a friend at the event, it was quite a different story the following year when Stéphanie’s Grandfather was a patient at the Residence. Her colleague and friend would follow suit about a year later.

She saw and felt just how important the incredible care and compassion that the team provided was to her Grandfather.

This generous professional make-up artist is all too aware that the Residence counts on tremendous support to ensure that its professionals are able to provide patients and their loved ones with the extraordinary level of care both Étincelle and her Grandfather received. It is precisely the reason why Stéphanie and her team at Le P’tit clown aux ballons continue to do their part to make kids happy by providing fabulous face painting during the Residence’s Walk.
